We wish for everyone to have the best possible experience using Sakai. Browsers play a key role. They tend to change frequently, adhere to web standards differently and contain settings that directly affect your experience.
We recommend using Firefox.
Each release of Sakai is tested against multiple browsers and platforms but it is an open-source product and is not certified for particular browsers. Therefore, if you can use Firefox, please do. If you are experiencing problems with tests, images, PDFs or logging in using other browsers, we’ll ask you to use or update Firefox.
To download Firefox:
To update Firefox:
Windows
- Open Firefox and click on the Firefox tab (upper left)
- Go to Help > About Firefox to see your version
- It will indicate if an update is available
Mac
- Open Firefox and click on the Firefox menu item (upper left)
- Go to About Firefox to see your version
- It will indicate if an update is available
If you still have problems…
If while using a current version of Firefox you experience problems, please open a help request or call 962-HELP so that we may try to replicate the problem in order to fix it. It is possible that a new browser version causes a new “bug” to appear. We will do our best to fix them as they arise.
